Can I get some help with placing an advertisement?
Yes, call us on 3269 0233 between 8.30am and 5.00pm, weekdays and we will arrange for a representative to deal with your request either in person at your business or by telephone, if you prefer.
How often is The Star published?
Every Wednesday morning except for two weeks over the Christmas holiday period.
Can I choose what page my advert is placed on?
Yes, but loadings do apply for preferred positions (except for regularly scheduled feature pages, which can be booked without surcharge).
Do you offer free advertising for not-for-profit groups?
Yes, each week we publish an editorial page headed Community Access which provides free publicity for local clubs, groups and organisations. Submissions for this page can be e-mailed to The Editor (via the contact page) or faxed to (07) 3269 8277. Closing time is 4pm, Thursdays for the following edition.
How can I get my opinion or story published in The Star newspaper?
We publish letters to the editor each week. These can be submitted online via the contacts page on this website. Letters should be concise, non-defamatory and carry the full name and address of the writer (for verification purposes). We do not publish anonymous letters - letters are published with name and suburb (or organisation, if not a private person) at the end.
